Looking to elevate your outdoor space this season? Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee or hosting a casual hangout, your patio at Perry Point Apartments in Raleigh is the perfect place to relax and recharge. With a few thoughtful touches, you can turn your balcony or patio into your own personal oasis. Here are a few easy and affordable patio decor ideas to inspire your space: 1. Add Greenery  Nothing brings a patio to life like plants! Try a mix of potted plants, hanging baskets, or even a vertical garden to maximize your space. Snake plants, pothos, and succulents are low-maintenance options that thrive in apartment settings. Looking to build a more useful mini garden? Plant an herb garden, simple vegetables, or add a small trestle to add some fresh produce into your life!  Nothing feels better than adding a home-grown ingredient into your favorite dish.  Say hello to a summer full of fresh mint tea, crunchy cucumber salads, or customized salsa. 2. Layer Lighting Create a cozy ambiance with string lights, lanterns, or solar-powered lamps. Soft lighting not only makes your outdoor space more inviting, but it also allows you to enjoy your patio well into the evening. Instead of doom scrolling after work, you can spend your evening reading or puzzling on your personal, patio oasis! Mood lighting can transform a normal night into a magical, romantic evening.   3. Cozy Textiles Add comfort with an outdoor rug, weather-resistant cushions, and throw blankets. These cozy elements help define the space and add a splash of personality with colors or patterns that suit your style. 4. Small-Space Furniture Choose furniture that fits your space without overwhelming it. Bistro sets, foldable chairs, or a compact bench can make your patio feel functional without feeling crowded. Picture evenings spent with your loved ones, rocking on a rocking chair - apartment living doesn't limit your lifestyle goals! Spend some time dreaming about your life and choose furniture that makes your goals reality!   5. Personal Touches Incorporate items that reflect your personality: a DIY centerpiece, fun wall art, or even a small bookshelf for outdoor reading. These unique details help your patio feel like an extension of your apartment. Cat Mom? Head to a local pottery shop to paint the cutest cat sculpture. Love being a Grandpa? Install a kid kitchen to spend outdoors time with your favorite littles. - Your space = your needs! Don't waste time being trendy but fully embrace being YOU!  Create a patio space that fits your needs, dreams, and goals. Spring Refresh: Declutter, Organize, and Recharge in RaleighSpring Refresh: Declutter, Organize, and Recharge in Raleigh-image

Spring is finally here, and there’s no better time for a fresh start! As the flowers bloom and the weather warms up, it’s the perfect opportunity to refresh your space and mindset. Whether you’re a resident of Perry Point Apartments or just looking for a seasonal reset in Raleigh, these tips will help you declutter, organize, and rejuvenate both your home and your well-being. 1. Spring Cleaning: Refresh Your Space A clean home sets the stage for a clear mind. Use this time to tackle dust, deep clean carpets, and freshen up your living space. Focus on key areas: Kitchen & Pantry: Toss expired items and wipe down cabinets. Nothing makes weekend meal prepping and coffee-filled mornings easier than a clear, sparkly kitchen.  Plus, kick off your summer with a cookout in your optimized space! Closets: Store away winter gear and donate clothes you no longer wear. Who wants to dig through winter fleece to find your fav pair of shorts?  By going through your winter gear fresh out of the season, you're setting yourself up for a closet full of fits that you'll actually use throughout the year!   Windows & Surfaces: Let the sunshine in by cleaning windows and wiping down surfaces for a sparkling finish.  Curtains, window clings, and temporary stained-glass decal can elevate your windows to create a homier feel.   2. Declutter and Organize Clutter can impact your stress levels and productivity, so take time to simplify your space. Adopt the ‘One-Year Rule’: If you haven’t used it in a year, it might be time to let it go. FB Marketplace and local donation centers are great ways to benefit others with your unused items!  So, it might finally be time to say goodbye to the guitar that's been sitting in your closet for the last decade.   Use Storage Solutions: Bins, baskets, and shelving units can help keep your apartment tidy. Hunt down inspo pics to settle on the perfect storage for your lifestyle and aesthetic!  Whether you love clean, modern shelves or boho wicker baskets - there are some amazing options available. Go Digital: Scan and store important documents to reduce paper clutter.  Gone are the days of storage units and large clunky file cabinets.   3. Refresh Your Mind Spring is not just about cleaning your space—it’s also about rejuvenating your mental health. Get Outside: Take a walk or bike along Raleigh’s Greenway Trails or visit the WRAL Azalea Garden for a burst of nature’s beauty. Read this to discover all of the ways spending time outside can boost your mental health. Try Something New: Whether it’s a new hobby or a fun event in downtown Raleigh, stepping out of routine can be refreshing. From pottery classes to run clubs and wine nights, Raleigh is full of fun ways to connect within the community, make friends, and create a lifestyle you enjoy.  Unplug and Unwind: Consider a digital detox by setting aside screen-free time for reading, journaling, meditation, or creative activities. Instead of doom scrolling this Friday after work, try a new fulfilling hobby or activity.  4. Bring Spring Indoors Brighten up your apartment with seasonal touches: Add Greenery: Houseplants like pothos or peace lilies can boost air quality and add vibrancy to your home.  There are so many amazing apartment friendly plants for every space and weather.   Switch Up Decor: Lighten up your space with fun pillows, floral accents, or breezy curtains.  There are so many unique personal styles, and if you live with a roommate, this could be a great way to collaborate creatively in shared spaces!  Check out our blog all about decor, DIY, and budget-friendly upgrades. Use Fresh Scents: Candles or essential oils in citrus or lavender can add a refreshing aroma to your home.  Before the summer, invest in a wax warmer or some seasonal room spray 5. Plan a Fresh Start for the Season. Spring is a great time to set new goals, whether that’s focusing on fitness, trying meal prepping, or reorganizing your schedule for a better work-life balance. Join a Fitness Class: Check out local yoga or outdoor boot camps in Raleigh. There are also some amazing digital platforms full of workouts you can take in your home! Meal Plan for Success: Stock up on fresh fruits and veggies from the State Farmers Market.   Meal prepping is great for your health, schedule, and wallet!  Create a Vision Board: Visualize your goals and set intentions for the season ahead. Integrate this into your home or workplace with a physical board or tokens to intentionally remember your goals every day. Spring is all about renewal, and with a little effort, you can refresh both your living space and mindset. Whether it’s a deep clean, an organized home, or simply taking time for yourself, these tips will help you step into the season feeling recharged and ready to embrace all that spring has to offer. Refresh Your Space: Decorating and Organizing Your Apartment for the New Year-image

As we say goodbye to 2024 and step into 2025, it’s the perfect time to refresh your apartment with new decor and better organization. Whether you’re living in vibrant Raleigh or cozy Cary, sprucing up your space can make your apartment feel fresh, functional, and perfectly suited for the new year. Let’s dive into some styling tips and organizational ideas to help you thrive in your Raleigh apartment. Define Your Style for the New Year Your apartment should feel like a reflection of you . Start by exploring different interior design styles and finding what resonates most with your vibe for 2025: Minimalist: If you’re aiming to declutter and embrace a calm aesthetic, minimalist designs with neutral colors and clean lines are ideal. Pair your whites and grays with natural wood tones for a modern look. Bohemian: For a more relaxed, creative vibe, mix earthy tones with vibrant patterns. Layer rugs, add plenty of greenery, and source unique decor items from local Raleigh or Cary shops. Industrial-Chic: Incorporate metal accents, exposed hardware, and darker color palettes for a more urban feel—perfect for those who love the energy of Raleigh living. Modern Farmhouse: Mix cozy textures like knits and wood with modern lighting and sleek furniture for a balanced aesthetic. Once you identify your preferred style, build your decor around it. This helps create a cohesive, curated feel. Vision boards your thing?  Create a digital or physical home vision board over the holidays to cement your vibe!  Once you dive into pictures and articles, you might be surprised to discover what you end up liking. Decor Tips for 2025: Local Shopping Highlights If you’re looking for unique pieces, shopping local is the way to go. Raleigh and Cary have incredible boutiques and home stores where you can snag decor that feels personal and memorable. Here are some top spots: Edge of Urge (Raleigh): Known for quirky and creative finds, this shop offers one-of-a-kind decor and handmade goods. Gather (Cary): This boutique features curated home goods, plants, and decor items that fit perfectly into any aesthetic. Shopping local not only supports the community but also ensures your apartment reflects the charm and personality of Raleigh living. Another great option is maker markets!  Research different markets happening near you to discover some amazing local entrepreneurs.  Organizational Ideas for Apartments in Raleigh Making your space functional is just as important as making it beautiful. Here are some practical tips to help you stay organized while maintaining style: 1. Maximize Vertical Space Apartments often come with limited square footage, so think up, not out. Install floating shelves to display books, plants, or decor. For closets, invest in vertical hanging organizers to maximize storage space. 2. Invest in Multi-Functional Furniture Look for furniture that does double duty. A storage ottoman, for example, is perfect for stashing blankets while doubling as a footrest. Similarly, bed frames with built-in drawers can help you maximize under-bed storage. 3. Clear the Clutter Before you bring in new decor, declutter what you already have. Donate unused items to local charities like The Green Chair Project in Raleigh.  Clearing the old makes room for the new—and helps your space feel more open. 4. Label and Categorize For items in cabinets or drawers, use labeled bins or baskets to keep everything in its place. This is especially useful for kitchens and bathrooms. 5. Create a Drop Zone Designate a space near your entryway for keys, mail, and bags. Add hooks for coats or a small bench with storage underneath. Keeping this area organized ensures a smooth start to your day. Seasonal Decorating for a Cozy Start to 2025 As winter transitions to spring, let your decor reflect the season: Add Warm Layers: Use textured throws and cozy pillows to create a warm, inviting space. Incorporate Natural Elements: Introduce greenery to brighten up your space. Try low-maintenance plants like pothos or snake plants. Lighten Up: Switch out darker decor for brighter tones, like soft blues or greens, to nod toward spring without fully committing. Budget-Friendly Tips for Styling Transforming your space doesn’t have to break the bank. Here’s how to decorate affordably: DIY Decor: Raleigh and Cary have great craft stores where you can pick up supplies for budget-friendly projects. Secondhand Finds: Check out thrift stores and consignment shops in Raleigh for vintage treasures and upcycle-worthy furniture. Seasonal Sales: Shop post-holiday sales for discounted decor pieces. Repurpose: Use items you already own in creative ways. For instance, old mason jars can become chic storage for makeup brushes or utensils. Make It Yours in 2025 Decorating and organizing your apartment isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about creating a space where you feel at home. Whether you’re in the heart of Raleigh or nestled in Cary, let this be the year you turn your apartment into a sanctuary that reflects your style and supports your lifestyle. If you’re still looking for the perfect place to call home, Perry Point Apartments offers spacious, thoughtfully designed floor plans with plenty of room for all your decorating dreams. Spread Holiday Joy with Perry Point's North Pole Express! 🎄-image

The holiday season is upon us, and here at Perry Point, we’re thrilled to kick it off with a meaningful tradition! This year, we’re joining Morguard’s North Pole Express , a four-week donation drive aimed at spreading comfort and joy to children in foster care. We’ve partnered with Comfort Cases, a fantastic nonprofit that makes a real difference in the lives of foster kids, and we invite our Perry Point community to join us in making this holiday season truly special! What Is the North Pole Express? 🎅 This isn’t your average holiday drive. The North Pole Express focuses on collecting essentials that can bring comfort and brighten a child’s day. Morguard’s nationwide initiative unites communities like Perry Point to gather much-needed donations for children in foster care. For the next four weeks, our lobby will transform into a cheerful drop-off point for your thoughtful contributions. Who Are We Supporting? 💙 We’re proud to partner with Comfort Cases , a nonprofit founded by Rob Scheer, who grew up in the foster system himself. Rob created Comfort Cases to change the heartbreaking reality that many children enter foster care carrying their belongings in trash bags. These “comfort cases” are backpacks filled with essentials like cozy pajamas, books, blankets, and hygiene products, providing kids with dignity and a sense of being cared for. These backpacks are more than just practical items—they’re a symbol of hope, love, and respect. Each donation is a way to show these children that they are seen and valued, especially during a challenging time in their lives. How Can You Get Involved? 🎁 We would love for our wonderful Perry Point residents to join us in making this season brighter for children in need! From now until December 13th , we’re collecting the following items in our lobby: New pajamas (all sizes) Diaper wipes (packs of 10-48) Children’s books (to spark a love for bedtime stories) Small blankets & stuffed animals (for warmth and comfort) Baby washcloths (to help keep little ones clean) Please keep in mind that all donations must be new and unused , and they should not be religious or holiday-themed to ensure they are suitable for all children. Got Questions? 📞 Our friendly team at Perry Point is here to help! If you have any questions about what to donate or how the drive works, stop by the leasing office or give us a call. We’re more than happy to assist and guide you on how to get involved. Why Participate? 🤗 The holiday season is about coming together to spread kindness, joy, and generosity. By supporting the North Pole Express, you’re not just donating items—you’re helping foster children feel loved, valued, and supported. Let’s make this holiday season truly special by coming together as a community. Let’s fill those comfort cases with love and make a difference, Perry Point family! 🎄✨ Thank you for your generosity and kindness. Together, we can make a real impact! 💛😊
